The film deals with the issue of waste disposal method prevailing in our society. The film also shows the viewers the right way to handle the situation of waste disposal. According to Sanskrit language AMALA” means “pure” or “most clean”. In the film, the lead character Amala, on her way to pick up her son from his school, dumbs her household waste in the public. Withholding her meaning full name, she makes both the nature and her name impure. A girl child happens to witness this and questions about her activity. She feels guilty in her action. She understands the mistake she has committed. It eventually turns her attitude about garbage disposal. She then stops her son, when he tries to throw a biscuit cover on the road side. Inspiring from the girl child, Amala leads her son to throw the waste in a basket and shows him the right way.
